Janis Jin is ASAP’s Board Secretary. Prior to joining the board, Janis was a staff member at ASAP, where she worked in various capacities ranging from operations to member services. In her role as ASAP’s Member Services Director, she helped launch new member onboarding systems that secured work permits for 150,000 asylum seekers in the wake of the preliminary injunction in CASA v. Mayorkas.
Janis is an incoming student at Yale Law School. She received her B.A. in English literature from Yale University, where her senior thesis received the Theron Rockwell Field Prize for the best work of undergraduate humanities scholarship. Janis is from Irvine, California. She speaks English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Korean.
